Boy Or Girl

People who identify with the traditional genders of boy or girl have access to safe spaces, from physical space in school to space in the cultural conversation. Trans and non-binary youth are vulnerable in these same spaces. This print ad, submitted to the Cannes Young Lions competition, demonstrates how this gender binary has dwarfed the space for other identities to exist, and aims to creates a safe space for them through the Gender Creative Kids organization of Canada.
